At Finding You, we believe healing happens when we stop managing our pain from a distance and start meeting it directly — with support, with honesty, and with the right conditions for change. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is one of the most powerful tools we offer for that work. It doesn't just treat symptoms; it opens a door. What you do with that door: the insight, the integration, the willingness to look at your own false self and choose something more authentic — is where the real transformation lives.

A Catalyst for Healing, Not a Shortcut Around It

Ketamine therapy has shown remarkable promise in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain — often bringing relief in hours or days rather than the weeks or months typical of conventional antidepressants. For people who have tried everything and still feel stuck, that speed of relief can be life-changing.

But at Finding You, we don't see ketamine as a fix. We see it as a catalyst — a way of loosening the grip of old defenses long enough for real therapeutic work to happen. The medicine opens the window. The therapy is what you do once you're standing in front of it.

What a KAP Journey Looks Like

Every retreat follows a thoughtful, structured protocol, built in close collaboration between you, your therapist, and the rest of our treatment team. Sessions range from psycholytic (lower-dose, more talk-therapy oriented) to psychedelic (higher-dose, more experiential) — matched to what will serve your process best.

• Intake — a full psychiatric and psychological assessment to understand your history and goals

• Preparation Sessions (50 minutes) — building the trust, intention, and groundwork for your KAP experience

• KAP Sessions (3 hour sessions each of the 3 days) — offered via intramuscular administration, moving through preparation, the experiential journey itself, and initial integration - facilitated and guided by a physician and two therapists, including Dr. Brad Reedy

• Integration Sessions (50 minutes, as needed) — the essential work of making meaning from what surfaced, and carrying it into daily life

The three-hour format is intentional. It allows a natural, unhurried arc from preparation into the experience itself and back out into integration — with a therapist alongside you the entire time, providing steady psychotherapeutic support as material arises.

How It Works

Ketamine acts on the brain's glutamate system, encouraging the formation of new neural connections, a process known as neuroplasticity. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD are often tied to rigid, well-worn patterns in the brain and in the psyche alike. By loosening those patterns, ketamine creates a window of flexibility: a rare opportunity to build new ways of relating to yourself, your history, and the people around you.

This is precisely the kind of shift we work toward in all of our programs — moving someone from a rigid, protective false self toward a more grounded, differentiated, authentic way of being in the world.

Healing Doesn't Happen Alone

The Power of Connection

Being seen and known by others who understand your struggle reduces isolation and builds real belonging. As you share your experience and hear others share theirs, something important happens: your struggles start to feel less like evidence of failure and more like part of being human. That shift alone can move someone from self-hatred toward self-compassion.

Group Empowerment

Being part of a group also puts you in the driver's seat of your own healing. Rather than something being done to you, healing becomes something you actively participate in — alongside others who are doing the same brave work, in an environment built on trust, support, and shared commitment to growth.

What Participants Often Discover

• Profound shifts in how they see themselves, their relationships, and the world

• A quieting of negative or obsessive thoughts and harsh self-talk

• A more compassionate, workable outlook on difficult relationships and life circumstances

• Growth in self-esteem and self-compassion

• Renewed creativity and problem-solving capacity

• Deeper motivation for lasting behavior and lifestyle change

• Relief from existential weight and distress

• A genuine pause from the noise of ordinary mind and daily reality

• For some, a meaningful spiritual or mystical experience

Understanding the Range of Experience

Dosing is tailored to you and your goals, and each level offers a different quality of experience:

• Lower doses: mild dissociation, relaxation, mindfulness, lowered defenses, and anxiolytic, empathogenic, and antidepressant effects

• Moderate doses: deeper dissociation, out-of-body experiences, and an expanded sense of self

• Higher doses: full dissociation from the body, with the potential for transpersonal or mystical experiences

Our Commitment to You

At Finding You, we are dedicated to helping people find real, lasting well-being through the compassionate and ethical use of expanded states of consciousness. Every retreat is grounded in clinical care, relational safety, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to do this work.

This is more than a treatment. It's an invitation to come home to yourself — and to do it with people who will walk alongside you the whole way.
