The Audacity to Be You
Learning to Love Your Horrible, Rotten Self
Brad Reedy, Ph.D.
July 12th-17th at the Omega institute
Discovering our self requires us to let go of all that others have told us we should be.
This is our life's work, and it's the key that unlocks the door to the understanding of the dilemmas we face.
Join Brad Reedy for an experiential retreat designed to help you identify your authentic self through guided meditation, art therapy, role-playing, and more. He leads you through a series of nurturing experiences based on attachment theory and Joseph Campbell’s concept of the hero's journey.
Throughout the week, your sense of consciousness shifts from confusion into clarity, away from shame and toward self-compassion. You gain understanding about the thinking patterns that created these issues and experience fully the person you sacrificed through habits of seeking attention and acceptance.
The Audacity to Be You
Learning to Love Your Horrible, Rotten Self
Brad Reedy, Ph.D.
September 27th-October 2nd at the Art of Living Retreat Center
For many of us, the life we’re living was shaped by who we needed to become to survive. Approval, achievement, control, perfection — these identities once protected us, but over time they became the very source of our suffering. In this deeply experiential retreat with Dr. Brad Reedy and Emma Reedy June, you will gently uncover the authentic self that existed before shame, before performance, before you learned to seek love by abandoning yourself. Through attachment-based insight and mythic storytelling, you’ll move from confusion to clarity, from self-judgment to compassion, and from survival patterns to a grounded, lived experience of self-acceptance.
Starting at $525 + $1232 (Lodging + Meals) plus tax
What are Workshop attendees saying?
"I enjoyed Brad's teaching tremendously, and also the family of origin work ... I have done this work before in an intensive, but it allowed me to take a deeper dive and show me what work I still have to do."
“The authentic sharing with the other participants and having dialogue with Brad - his concrete examples helped us see things in a different way."
"What I enjoyed the most was the space held for our individual needs and questions."
"I really appreciated the amount of vulnerability that Dr. Reedy showed, in addition to the other participants”
"I thought the discussions deepened over the course of the day, which was amazing. I liked the exercise of looking at our own family of origin which allowed for a lot of reflection on similarities and differences in childhoods -- but how we were all wounded in our own ways."
